The mountain offers a great variety of terrain for all standards of skiers and snowboarders. Thredbo's Friday Flat was purpose built for first timers with its own beginner's lifts & dedicated child learning area. Merritts Spur is for graduates of Friday Flat. There are wide open groomed runs with an even pitch from top to bottom - perfect for adding some style and length to your skiing or boarding. Anton's and Sponar's - the Central Spur area, allows access to some of the most varied terrain Thredbo has to offer. The High Noon Supertrail is half cruiser, half terrain park and flows straight back to Friday Flat. The Crackenback Supertrail is the signature run of Thredbo leading into Thredbo Village and is best suited to wide open cruising. Within minutes, the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift will have you at the top again where you can opt to go off-piste down the funnelling headwalls of the Bluff. On a powder day this is where you'll find Thredbo's deepest turns. Karels & Basin T-bars access one of the most pleasant areas when you ski Thredbo, with a maze of options for beginners to experts that lead back to the bottom of the hill. Thredbo is a charming pedestrian village located centrally within the resort. There is plenty to choose from in Australia's finest alpine village. Throughout Thredbo Village there are gourmet delights, hearty meals, tasty treats, creamy lattes, cocktails, a cold one or a nice drop… all available in front of a roaring fire. Reminiscing over the days happenings is always a little more fanciful when coupled with a glass of wine and something sumptuous!
RESTAURANTS
Try the elegant Terrace Restaurant which overlooks Thredbo mountain. Or try the sophisticated surroundings of Credo which also boasts one of the finest wine lists in the village. On most Saturday's Eagles Nest atop the Thredbo Gondola opens for a dinner experience second to none. Saturday nights are also special as the dinner hour is kicked off by the Thredbo Flare Run. Dozens of ski school instructors descend the Crackenback Supertrail blazing the trail as fireworks burst overhead.
If you've got the energy (and many do), you may kick on the evening at The Lounge Bar, Après Bar or Schuss bar… all with regular live music to keep your toes tapping well into the wee midnight hours. And for those who prefer a livelier venue, the DJ is spinning up all the latest Pop and R&B rhythms for you to dance the night away to at Thredbo's Keller Bar which is open till 3am. Getting Around - The shuttle bus operates between 7.30am & 5:30pm daily. After hours service operates between 5.30pm and 9.00pm and later on Friday & Saturday nights in peak times. The bus runs on a loop between the Valley Terminal & Friday Flat base area with regular shuttles taking guests to accommodations higher up in the village.
Flexi Pass: The Jindabyne Flexi Pass offers guests staying in Jindabyne or along the Alpine Way the option to ski any 3 and a half days out of 5 and a half. Tickets are valid midweek Monday through to Friday (half day is the day proir to ticket commencement date and upgrades to 4 or 5 day passes are available. All tickets must be used proir to close of lifts on the first Friday from when the ticket commenced.
Kids Ski Free: Thredbo offers free skiing and boarding for children 14yrs and under when booking Kids Stay Free accommodation in either Jindabyne or Thredbo. Conditions stipulate that when an adult buys a Lift Only or Lift & Lesson ticket, one child will recieve the same free. Maximum one child per adult and Thredbo Land upgrades are available. (Contact your reservations consultant for details) Kids Stay & Ski Free deals are valid between 12 - 25 June & 30 August - 4 October
Super Saver Weeks: Super Saver Weeks are discounted passes for 3 or 5 1/2 days skiing and boarding at Thredbo. 3 Day passes must commence Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and 5 Day passes commence Monday. 1/2 day ticket commences Sunday of arrival from 1pm. Your stay must commence during the weeks 19th - 23rd July, 26th - 30th July and 23rd - 27th August.
Fifth Day Free: This offer must be packaged with 5th Day Free participating accommodation packages. The 1/2 day free is available any day however lift pass must still be used in consecutive days. Valid for skiing midweek 12 - 25 June & 30 August - 4 October
Thredboland:
For skiers aged 3 - 6 years (must be toilet trained) from 9am - 4pm daily including skiing instructions, hot lunch, refreshments, lift ticket and indoor/outdoor play time.
Thredbo Free-riders:
